Has a whole year already gone by since I have posted on this little blog over here? Well... lack of posts does NOT mean lack of picture taking! Only lack of computer time.

This was the shortest newborn session I have EVER done and the most productive! Kage's pictures are some of my favorite. He slept the whole time and I have to say that his dad was such an awesome (and patient and relaxed) dad/model.

I L.O.V.E this next one so I showed it in both color and black and white. Look at those perfect little lips and cute hair...and how his whole head fits in one of his daddy's hands.

I hope I look this good 9 months pregnant!

She is due any day now and I took these pictures only one week ago.

I am so excited for her to have a baby girl!

I can't wait to see what she looks like...

for I know she will be an absolute cutie!

This pregnancy (mine) has full blown wiped me out...

On a scale of 1-10, my energy is probably around a negative 5! I have had good intentions the past few months of trying to post some of my recent sessions, but had no luck.

My sister is one of the most beautiful people that I know...both inside and out.

Her family has just been blessed with this beautiful and perfect baby boy.

Being able to be present at his birth,

was one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had.

I will never forget it.We already think his eyes are turning blue...just like his dads.

{My sis also has beautiful hands and fingernails...yes, those nails are real.}I just love newborns, and everything tiny about them.

My main 5 yr. old boy Peyton,

is packed with personality.

Oh, and he inherited a lot of the cute genes out of our gene pool.

Turning 5 years old is a major milestone.
Kids outgrow toddlerhood and are moving on to bigger things...
...school bus rides, soccer practice, and kindergarten.

I just can't believe how grown up this boy is.
I keep seeing my sister in him, and I keep seeing 2 of my other brothers in him.
The more I sit and edit the pics,
the more I realize how much he looks like different family members.
He is always the life of the party wherever he goes.

Don't even let this one innocent, puppy dog face, fool you for one second!

Pey is such a character!

I love this one...especially because of her little foot touching her mom's face.

I love seeing her dry and peeling, fresh newborn skin.

It totally shows how fresh she was at 7 days old.

I have a confession to make:

I've secretly been putting off posting this session...

which I did over a month ago.

Why?

Because it was one of my all time favorite sessions yet,

and there are seriously soooooo many stinkin' adorable ones,

that I can't ever find the time to face it.

I had my sis and a friend over, taking pics of their boys. Ava watched me doing the shoot and now insists on always laying on her belly, like this, as soon as she sees my camera...and she's getting good at saying cheese.

I love these guys.

The thing I love is that their kids are all so different.

so here's my very first attempt at bridals.
and i must say that it was a breath of fresh air and so fun to do something different.
i can see myself doing a lot more of these.
so ummmm yeah. if any of my single friends (or little brothers) could please become engaged so i can practice on you (my friends), or your girlfriends/fiances'....that would be greeeaaaaat. that's all.

and the bride...she's so beautiful. i couldn't get over it. she's the type to never be caught dead in a dress and when she stepped out of the car, i was more than pleasantly surprised.

not only does she have the bluest eyes and cutest little lips you have ever seen,

I have been having a blast learning and growing as a photographer. Thanks to all of you who have taken a chance on me and have gotten in front of my camera :).

I have loved every minute of this little roller coaster ride, of figuring out who I am as a photographer. I just wanted to thank you and tell you that I have enjoyed not only taking your families/kids' pictures, but I have enjoyed spending time with you and getting to know you better.

I have updated my prices and what I am currently offering to my clients. For the remainder of 2008, these prices will remain in effect. I am trying to build my portfolio, which is why I am offering such an amazing deal. With each session, you will receive a high resolution CD with 30-50 edited images, AND the copyright to those images!

Also, I am in the process of talking Jake into letting me get a small studio set up in our new house, so that I can do sessions all winter when it's just too cold outside. I will keep you posted on the status of the studio.

let me tell you all the things i loved about this photo shoot:

i loved this sweet, precious baby girl, who slept the entire time i loved the way she curled up into a perfect little ball.

it's my favorite way babies sleep. i loved that these pictures are outside on a big ol' tree stump.

reminded me of Anne Geddes.

i love her photography and wish i could take pictures of newborns like her :)

I can't believe my very youngest, baby brother, is going to graduate next month! He was such a good model for me. This photoshoot was my very first with my new camera. Pretty good results right? I have a lot to learn and a long way to go but here is my starting point :).
